Why can't it just "be"?&lt;br /&gt;(tree, birds, clouds and all be defined, but art just "is")&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: right;"&gt;                                            -Moccasin&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;The current idea that everything is art still leaves dangling the question of distinguishing good art from bad.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: right;"&gt;-~Jon&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;Art is the visual representation of real or imagined objects or ideas.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: right;"&gt;-Brianvds&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;Art is a journey. Art can take us to places beyond our wildest imaginations.&lt;br /&gt;Art can reveal hidden truths, and present known truths in a new light.&lt;br /&gt;Art is a language of visual communication.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: right;"&gt;-thaneeyabean&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;The definition of Music is "organised sound". It is an art - and it is in that organisation&lt;br /&gt;(whether planned or sometimes almost accidental) that makes it music/art.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;-Drumbeat-Trish&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;As artists we create what we believe to be art, therefor creating art.&lt;img src="http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/images/smilies/smug.gif" alt="" title="Smug" class="inlineimg" border="0" /&gt;  Well!
